Our project in Almaty was much like that of Uralsk. The Department of Education threatened to close one of Almaty's baby houses due to the poor sanitary conditions in the laundry building. WPA and our partners stepped up and covered the entire $80,000 cost to completely refurbish their laundry. Take a look! Before pictures:
